I’ve seen this happen before. A friend of mine was a manager at [hotel name redacted] when the housekeeping staff started complaining that there was gas coming out of the drains, they had headaches, couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep. The hotel did multiple inspections, installed watch sensors, meanwhile guests are saying they can smell it too, bookings are tanking, [hospitality sites] are calling it the Gas House. Then it came out that [the original complainant] had a whole string of nuisance suits, but it was too late: one shitty employee closed the whole place down. Like I said, I’ve seen it before.
